Welcome
From President Shalisa Brunson, Esq.
Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Delaware Valley Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Incorporated! I am so proud to serve as the new President of this esteemed organization and I hope that you will consider becoming a part of our family if you have not already joined us. I have been a member of this section since our founding on September 10, 2020, and it has been a pleasure to watch it grow. We may be a young section, but we are mighty! This section consists of a talented network of dedicated, passionate, and diverse Black women and men, who have united to serve our communities across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Our mission is rooted in the legacy of NCNW, aligning with its core priorities to uplift and empower through meaningful action. Together, we are committed to:
-
Elevating the importance of S.T.E.A.M. education and lifelong learning, ensuring that our youth have access to opportunities that will define their futures
-
Strengthening the economic stability of African American women and their communities by championing entrepreneurship and financial literacy
-
Advocating for better health outcomes by addressing disparities and promoting wellness, especially within communities of color
-
Amplifying civic engagement and fighting for social justice through sound public policy and legislation
As we move forward, I believe in the collective strength and vision of our members. Our journey is one of growth, empowerment, and service, and I am confident we will reach new heights. Together, we are building a legacy that will not only impact our present but inspire generations to come. Join us as we continue to uplift, advocate, and make a lasting difference in our communities. We are stronger together, and through our shared commitment, we will continue to thrive.
In service and solidarity,
Shalisa J. Brunson, Esq., MBA
